Master's Degree

Since 1960, developments in space sciences and technologies have accelerated, and advanced countries have rapidly increased their human resources and investments in this field. However, our country is not yet at the desired level in this area. On the other hand, in Decision No. 2005/9 of the Supreme Council for Science and Technology, it is emphasized that achieving a knowledge level in space research that can compete with the world and training human resources in space research are prioritized national goals. The Department of Space Sciences and Technologies, an interdisciplinary department, has been conducting undergraduate and postgraduate education, as well as research activities, since 2007 to meet the need for trained human resources in this field.

The aim is to train students in various scientific disciplines to become specialized researchers who contribute to universal science and the needs of our country. These students should be experts in their professions, open to national and international competition, and capable of using the knowledge they have gained in other fields.

Our master's program aims to produce graduates who have embraced scientific ethics, learned scientific research methods, acquired the ability to access, evaluate, collect, analyze, and interpret information through scientific research, and can present their research results orally and in writing. They should also understand the importance of lifelong learning and have advanced knowledge in the field of Space Sciences and Technologies, capable of producing a high-level master's thesis that contributes to the existing knowledge in any sub-discipline of Space Sciences and Technologies.
