We are at the forefront in astronomy and space sciences in the TUBITAK Universities Competency Analysis report.

TÜBİTAK 2023 universities field-based competency analysis report has been published. Through 132 sub-fields, the areas where universities stand out in terms of productivity in terms of volume and quality within the framework of scientific criteria, both within themselves and among other universities in our country, were determined.

Astrophysics Research Center and Ulupınar Observatory, where researchers are mainly from the Physics and Space Sciences and Technologies Departments of the Faculty of Science, constitute the focus of research in the fields of astronomy and space sciences. In the competency analysis, thanks to the outputs produced, it is clearly seen that we are at the forefront in the fields of astronomy-astrophysics and space-planet science both within our university and among the universities in our country. We would like to thank the researchers of our center for their successful research and the outputs they produced.

Competency distributions for ÇOMÜ were evaluated in a workshop held for all fields. Considering the WoS outputs, our Center's position at the forefront in the field of research reveals itself.
